Hello,
I encountered a problem with the newly updated Samsung Galaxy S4 ( Android 4.3) version. When i want to do some changes and test the app on Samsung S4 , the camera preview opens as stretched version so the things on camera looks stretched. And it causes problem for the calculations i make in the background for OCR.
Has anyone come across something like this? While S4 was on 4.2.2 or with any other device we have never had a problem like this.

Do the samples show a stretched camera image ?
or is it a custom app that you are referring to ? if you provide more details maybe we can help...

If the samples do not show this issue, my best suggestion would be to compare your code in which you configure the video background, with the function configureVideoBackground() which is provided with the samples (see for instance ImageTargets.cpp)

My configVideoConfiguration() method has never been touched. And now when i look at the Logs i am seeing this:

I am having this same issue...my development team is creating an app for a BIG company, and I thought everything was working fine until I tested the app on a 4.3 device.

I'm finding the same issue on a Samsung S3. Is it a device profile issue?

We found it was a device specific hardware issue on the Galaxy S3, every other device we tested worked perfectly.

It would help if anyone in this thread, observing this issue, could provide exact Model Name/Number (which you can find in the Device settings), as there are so many flavours of Galaxy S3 around...

I have also a similar problem. but device is different.
My device is athena dual made in korea company, MPZIO.
Android verson is 4.4.4.
The resolution of this device is 2048x1536(4:3) (ratio 1.3).
But ar camera always stretched horizontally.
