Android AR Number Plate Recognition

Hi,

I want to create an android application (in Java) to detect a vehicle number plate (contents are text and numbers) and then send a request to my web services to get information about the vehicle (Owner details, etc). I have my web services running perfectly, but right now I just need to get an android application for the detection.

I want to try and use a sample application and just customize it to suite my requirements. But I am new to Vuforia AR so i need help wih the flow of the whole detection process and how I can create and manage my targets.

PS: This is only for South African Number plates.
