Android Desktop Visible Behind AR Camera Video

January 23, 2018 - 10:42am #1

I put this in the Android Forum because it is not happening in the editor on my Windows desktop.

When I put either a UI object (say a panel) or a 3D object (part of a model) over the camera video, and that object has an alpha less than 255, the Android desktop shows through the video. See attached for example.

Anybody have any ideas what is causing this?

SOLVED!

There's a new checkbox in Android player settings, "Preserve framebuffer alpha".

You need to check it and set the clear value in the camera to have alpha less than one.

This enables rendering Unity on top of native Android UI.

It was checked. Hope this helps someone else.
