Android Desktop Visible Behind AR Camera Video

I put this in the Android Forum because it is not happening in the editor on my Windows desktop. When I put either a UI object (say a panel) or a 3D object (part of a model) over the camera video, and that object has an alpha less than 255, the Android desktop shows through the video. See attached for example.

Anybody have any ideas what is causing this?
