I had the same problem with Android 4.

Try this in command line.

  • adb root <enter>
  • adb remount <enter>
  • adb shell rm -r /data/dalvik-cache/* <enter>

this worked for me.

Which Win OS are you using?

There are a few different reasons that this error can arise w/ Eclipse.

1. the Android SDK location isn't properly configured in Preferences
2. the project wasn't imported properly. Use 'New Android Project -> Create Project from existing source.
3. Permissioning conflicts w/ the OS. This is especially common with Vista. Eclipse doesn't install as a native app, so you may need to modify the directory permissions in its path and the Android path.

I am having the same issue. I have recreated the project multiple times, reinstalled and rebuilt the ImageTargets sample app, but when I create the project I get this error:

[2011-08-26 09:50:50 - com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.internal.project.AndroidManifestHelper] Unable to read E:\Android\SDK\android-sdk\samples\android-7\AndroidManifest.xml: java.io.FileNotFoundException: E:\Android\SDK\android-sdk\samples\android-7\AndroidManifest.xml (The system cannot find the file specified)

Any suggestions on getting this to work would be appreciated...

Can you try to compile the DSO again please?
You might be facing the problem because of corrupted ndk files.

Of course more information would be useful to find out what might be the problem.

We're going to need a little more information. What point are you at in building the sample project? What are you trying to build when you see this error?

It's strange that Eclipse is searching for the Android Manifest in C:\AndroidManifest.xml, this shouldn't be the case.

Make sure that you have followed all the steps in the Getting Started guide carefully: http://ar.qualcomm.com/qdevnet
