In Java, we just call these 3 lines to modify the focus mode:

Config session_config = session.getConfig();

session_config.setFocusMode(Config.FocusMode.AUTO);

session.configure(session_config);

Hope you can give us a hand on this, it is the only thing stopping us to fully move to Vuforia.

I mentioned in you other thread, but I'll ping here as well to add more visibility. Vuforia is providing the focus functionality of ARCore 1.4 in 7.5 which should be available within the month.

Vuforia 7.2.24 already works with core-1.4.0.aar, so it seems that is only a matter of enabling/exposing the Focus Mode setting (Fixed by default).

We are in the process of estimating efforts to integrate ARCore 1.4 features into Vuforia, especially auto-focus.

If/when I have a better idea of the roadmap, I will respond here with some feedback.
