Can qcar-resources.dat file be placed in another folder

Hi All, Can I place the qcar-resources.dat file in any other folder (or outside the application) other than "/assets/"? As I increase the number of Image trackables, I can see that the application size increases. So I would like to call the config.xml file and the qcar-resources.dat file from a different location other than the application itself. Is it possible? Please help. Regards, Thilak
