Change 3D Models and Textures during runtime

Hi ,

I am developing an application on Android by customising the ImageTarget code.

In the app, I would want the 3d Model and its texture to change according to the detected target. Also, depending upon user interaction, I would want the texture on the Model to change during runtime. Does anyone have a code-sample / project that I could see to get me started in this direction ?

Is there anyway I could achieve this, without using Unity? I am making a prototype for a client and this can help seal the deal for a big project.
