March 4, 2013 - 2:41am #1

Hi,

  I want to combine cloud recognition and Image Target. From my application i will have two buttons which are cloud and local , when the user clicks local then image recognition should happen from local dat and xml file. If user clicks cloud then image recognition should happen in cloud. Is it possible to combine both of them in android? I need your help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Prakash V

Hi

The link doesn't work.

Can you please provide a different link or explain how to combine regular image target with a cloud reco image target?

Thanks

Hi Prakash,

yes it is definitively possible to combine CloudReco and "standard" Image Targets;

to facilitate this task, we have also written a quick step-by-step tutorial to guide you through the process of integrating the CloudReco functionality into the "traditional" Image Targets sample:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/faq/android-how-integrate-cloudreco-imagetargets-sample

This tutorial is focussing on the core aspects of CloudReco, and essentially shows how to augment a CloudReco Image Target with a teapot (i.e. exactly like in the Image Targets sample, but also using targets that are recognized from the Cloud).

I believe you can find already a good 90% of what you need for your use case there.

Then, you will probably need some little adjustment to fulfill your compelte use case, but the tutorial is already a very good starting point.
