Hi, in terms of customization, you can change the color of the scan lines and scan points by using this code in the "_initCloudReco" function (in CloudReco.cpp)

targetFinder->setUIScanlineColor(1.0, 0.0, 0.0);  // useyour R,G,B color here
targetFinder->setUIPointColor(0.0, 0.0, 1.0);  // useyour R,G,B color here

Disabling the scan lines/points is currently not supported (they are automatically disabled when you stop the scan, and re-enabled when you restart the scan);
is this something that you would consider as a strongly desired feature for your apps ?

Hi,

in general you need to stop the TargetFinder, i.e. like in the following code:

QCAR::TargetFinder* targetFinder = imageTracker->getTargetFinder();
assert (targetFinder != 0);
// Stop CloudReco
!targetFinder->stop();

Then you can restart it via:

targetFinder->startRecognition();

Check the functions in CloudReco.cpp:
enterScanningModeNative();
enterContentModeNative();

Also, for a more detailed introduction to the Cloud Reco sample structure you can have a look at the "Sample Code Structure" section in:

This section really guides you throughout the sample code, highlighting the most important code snippets that you need to use to start/stop/init/deinit the Cloud Recognition.

What I need to do in order to add this scanner  functionality in a separate application?

Hi, the scanner functionality (scan line) is only available as part of CloudReco;

you can have it running in your App if your App uses the Cloud Recognition feature; the best is to start from the Cloud reco sample code.

Disabling the CloudReco scan line is not a feature in the 5.5 SDK
