Hi AlessandroB,
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
Hi, I just tried creating a database with an image target using the current Target Manager, and importing it into the Image Targets sample of SDK 2-6-10, and it works fine.
I would recommend to read this tutorial and try again:
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
Thanks for the reply. Actually realised that I'd to set execute permissions for the XML and DAT file.
It worked after `chmod 700 MyTarget.*`
Thanks!

Great.
Failed to load dataset
I'm getting the error "Failed to load dataset" in the VideoPlayback sample after setting my own datastore. Both the dat and xml files are properly placed in the assets folder. Permissions are currently 0700 and I have also tried with 0777.
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
What you need to do for such a case is to:
- put your dat and xml in your assets dir
- change the VideoPlayback.cpp code so to point to your dataset instead of ChipsAndStones
- rebuild the native sample code via ndk-build
- refresh your project in Eclipse
- run
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
I'm not sure what the issue was but it's working. I can't think of anything different between the failing project and the working one. With one honestlly quite major difference and one tiny one. But it seems like it shouldn't be an issue.
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
Have you tried with Eclipse ? That's the recommended IDE
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
Yes It did not work in eclipse that i installed as per the directions in the documentation. It worked fine when editing and building in intellij though. It's funny though because it was working fine in eclipse.
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
It was me I was the one that did it. I pasted a snippet I was working with in a previous sample project. Which broke the test to see if the dataset was loaded. To be more exact I had an if that should of been else.
Failed to load dataset 'test.xml'.
Ok, happy that you figured out the issue.

Device databases recently downloaded from the developer portal are no longer compatible with Vuforia 2.6. You will have to upgrade to the latest version of Vuforia (5.5) to download device databases in the future.

Apologies, but we don't have a migration guide for such a large jump in SDK version. All I can offer you is the following:
