Forcing fullscreen playback

August 8, 2016 - 6:40am #1

Hi, had a search around on this forum, YouTube and even Unity docs.. Can't seem to get anywhere (maybe I'm dumb). Is anyone aware of a way to force videos to play fullscreen automatically upon being tracked? As far as I'm aware this is standard on iOS but I need this for Android also.

After a brief look through the standard Vuforia video project I'm not even sure which script manages this to be honest. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Haythem

I believe in the AR camera, you have a script called "Play video" which you can check in "Play Fullscreen" which then when a tracker are being found, will play the video in full screen

Yeah sorry I may not have specified properly - BUT..I'm looking to achieve this in the Unity plugin. I know there is an option with the sample UI but I want all videos to play fullscreen by default and disable the example UI.

Sorry for the confusion!

Cheers

Hello,

I just took a quick look at the 6.0.112 version of the VideoPlayback sample app and found the source is nicely commented. Check this directory

...\VideoPlayback-6-0-112\app\src\main\java\com\vuforia\samples\VideoPlayback\app\VideoPlayback

for a file called "FullscreenPlayback.java". Hopefully, this will give you a push in the right direction.

Thanks
