Galaxy S Network Error

Hello, I'm trying to compile and run the ImageTargets sample on Android (Unity Extension) The project compiles just fine and runs, but then I have an "QCAR Initialization Error : Network connection required...." I'm connected through wifi and Gprs (could that be the problem?). The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S (GT I9000) running Froyo (2.2.1). Maybe it would work over 3G? (I'm currently in the countryside :) Thanks in advance Erik

Hi, I'm also facing the same problem, but in my case it works fine when i connect through wifi. Otherwise giving the same error message. Rahul

Erik - Try turning on Airplane mode, then turning on WiFi in the device settings. Does it work now? Rahul - What sort of mobile connection do you have? Our next release should resolve some of these connection issues. For now WiFi should be a surefire way to get things to work.

Thanks Kim for giving this useful information. Anyway i have tried edge and gprs connectivity other than wifi. - Rahul

Thanks Kim. Eventually it worked when I came back from the countryside to Paris (so from GPRS to 3G). One comment though : I don't know if it's feasible, but it would be really nice to have a local fallback for camera settings, at least for the most popular Android devices.

Hi, I have the same problem : Network connection required to initialize camera settings. Please check your connection and restart the application.

Hello marcusio, Can you tell me the model of your device found in Settings -> About Phone . Also can you verify network connectivity before running your app for the first time by opening a website with the browser application? Thank you, -Peter
