I am new to android development as well as AR / Vuforia, so I hope you can forgive me my ignorance...
I am trying to learn how to write an android app using AR and would like to use vuforia for this. However following the how 2's and getting started guides I feel I am missing some information. At various points in these guides (e.g. How To Use Object Recognition in an Android App) I came across the following:
Before you proceed, please make sure to read Getting Started with the Android Native SDK.
If I copy the shortcut address I get "https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Training/Getting-Started-with-the-Android-Native-SDK" but if I follow the link I only get "access denied"
Now my question: Is this a bug or who has access to this information, why is it shielded? What information is in the article, does it contain info I need before being able to follow the other examples?
Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give!
PS to be specific on where I get stuck is in "How To Use Object Recognition in an Android App" step 3 "To configure the Object Target Renderer and handle events arising from the Object Tracker:" The example doesn't exactly match the SDK example app in Android studio but worse: I don't know what to modify here for the recognition of the object I scanned... While debugging it never finds any trackables; it never enters this for loop:
// did we find any trackables this frame?
for (int tIdx = 0; tIdx < state.getNumTrackableResults(); tIdx++)
