Description of the issue:

Exact Device Model number:
Samsung Galaxy S4 SM-C101 and had this problem on a Galaxy Note 2 but I don't have the device anymore to check exact model number
Installed OS version:
Android 4.2.2
Vuforia SDK version
Vuforia SDK 3.0
Platform (Andoid native, iOS native or Unity)
The game is made with Unity.
Device orientation:
The issue occurs in Portrait mode
Back/Front Camera:
The issue occurs with Back camera.
Camera Mode:
The issue occurs when using MODE_OPTIMIZE_SPEED.Didn''t test it with other settings.
Concurrent camera access:
I am not aware of any other software running on my device that may try to access the Camera while Vuforia is running. I would tend to exclude this.

thanks for the detailed report;
we are aware of this issue and specifically for the S4 SM-C101, the same issue has also been reported here:
