how can i use the GL_LIGHT

hi, i am a student i want to add a light by opengl in ImageTarget.cpp and i have include gl.h in ImageTarget.cpp but when i use the function "gllightfv" then compile use cygwin it shows error "undefined reference to gllightfv" i don't know how i should do.... thanks!
