How can I use sample ?

I have downloaded and installed vufuria in my eclipse. Now I want to test the installation. For this I tried <Samples> folder  but there are no projects available so I decided to download from this website but all samples are in .apk format. How can I use apk file to test my eclise integration with vuforia ? Where can I find the whole project of these samples ?
