Photo mode vs. Video mode on Galaxy Tab

September 9, 2011 - 12:04pm #1

Just snagged a Samsung Galaxy Tab for testing things out with QCAR. Why is the video framerate so low? When you use the device's native camera app it appears the framerate for the Photo side of things is similar to what QCAR is utilizing but if you switch the native app over to Video mode the FPS is on par with iPad2. Is there any way to make QCAR operate at this framerate for it's initial video capture?

Thank you!

hi,
i have the same issue on my galaxy tab 10.1 (GT-P7500) in MODE_DEFAULT.
i also already posted the issue http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2000647 but as it seems to be a general configuration problem and not a unity specific one i guess http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2000647 is the right place.
please help us with the quality of the camera image!
regards,

stefan

It's strange that the camera preview for the built in camera app would be slow. You may want to try rebooting the device, just in case.
