Point Collision with 3D model(teapot)

I am working on the finger interaction with the virtual objects (teapot as I am using the ImageTargets). So far, I detected the fingers.


Now, I need to detect the collision between the teapot and the finger. Can you give me a clue how to do this? Do I need a conversion on the coords of the finger?
