Problem with RuntimeImageTarget and Dynamic loading of images

October 26, 2020 - 5:13am #1

I am trying to load images from storage to a dataset on runtime using C++ and the native sample provided on vuforia website. I do have all the permissions and I am calling the load method from "Vuforia::UpdateCallback::Vuforia_onUpdate()" callback. It always ends up like this:

2020-10-26 12:57:34.587 6439-7460/com.vuforia.engine.NativeSample I/AR: ObjectTracker: Successfully created dataset

2020-10-26 12:57:34.587 6439-7460/com.vuforia.engine.NativeSample E/AR: Unable to set the RuntimeImageSource. The target width cannot be 0 or smaller.

2020-10-26 12:57:34.587 6439-7460/com.vuforia.engine.NativeSample E/AR: Failed to load image for Instant Image Target '/data/data/com.vuforia.engine.NativeSample/files/1069'

2020-10-26 12:57:34.587 6439-7460/com.vuforia.engine.NativeSample E/AR: Failed to create Trackable.

The file is for sure there but what concerns me is "Unable to set the RuntimeImageSource. The target width cannot be 0 or smaller." what does it means i am not event setting a file/image yet.

the code i use is as recommended here: https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/How-To-Access-and-Modify-Targets-at-Run-Time.html#imagetargets-at-runtime

Any suggestion or sample how to achieve this?

Thank you
