Split APK video app problem

September 19, 2016 - 6:22am #1

Hello,

So Im about to finish off my Android app which are displaying videos for trackers. The APK are over 113mb, so it needs to be split in order to get uploaded to playstore. I work in Unity 5 with latest Vuforia idk (6.0.117) and I can upload the splited app and obb. However when I try it on my Motorola G4 it doesn't seem to fins trackers, the camera works fine, as well as a video I got playing on the UI from pressing the menu, but the trackers themselves doesn't even seem to pop up when I try to locate them with my camera.

Any ideas how to fix this?

hi, Can you solve your problem? I have some problem. I'm using Vuforia AR camera and image target. My app. size 138 mb. I must split this app. I'm using Unity 2017.2.0f3. I'm doing "split application binary" at Publishing settins. I loaded apk and obb files on google play store. But it's not running when downloading my app. App is running first scene(menu). Buttons running. At the same time, there isn't vuforia at first scene. But AR camera is not see image target.

what can I do? or what can it cause this problem.

Hmm, So would you recommend having a "starting scene" which somehow loads up the "StreamingAssets" (with a script looking something) and then do a simple sceneManager and transfer into the next scene where vuforia and the app will run?

The “StreamingAssets” folder where the Vuforia datasets are stored is one of the locations which Unity will store in the OBB if the APK exceeds 100MB. The existence of the necessary datasets in “StreamingAssets” should be confirmed prior to starting Vuforia. It is recommended to not have Vuforia/ARCamera included in the first scene if the APK is split. See these additional links for more details:
