i need some help streaming live events online using augmented reality is that possible?
Can you post this in the Unity section of the Forum ?
also, if you search the Forum, the same question has been addressed in several threads.
I am trying to play a video (which has been stored on a server) when an image target is detected. This works perfectly when the video is in the StreamingAssets folder. But I can't seem to get it to work for a remote file. I've tried pointing to the remote file instead of the StreamingAssets file but that does not work. I just get the hour glass on my image target. I also tried using the Unity WWW class to first download the file and then play it but that doesn't work either (same result - hour glass). Could you please elaborate on how this is achieved? Any tips/ideas would be helpful.
for the first part (storing a video on youtube or other server) there is nothing specific in Vuforia to support that.
For the second part of your question, i.e. playing a video (which has been stored on a server) when an image target is detected, I would recommend too have a look at our VideoPlayback sample, which implements this feature.
Also, note that the VideoPlayback sample can play videos streamed from the internet, if the URL points to a video file; this does not work with Youtube videos.
Hi, this does not sound really related to Vuforia, since streaming videos on youtube is not a feature supported by Vuforia.
Unless you mean "how do I play a video on an Image target" or similar: in the latter case, you may want to have a look at our VideoPlayback sample.
