Hi

I have a serious problem and nobody knows the solution

I make an ARApp with 2017 Unity and Vuforia... My app works on smart phone and TABLET too..its perfect

But When I use Unity 2018 or 2019 ,The App  works only on smart phone well ..I try to test it on the same tablet, its camera doesnt work...I hear sounds but screen is black or pink color..

Why it works on Unity 2017 and why it doesnt work on 2018 and 2019 unity??

How can I Tablet camera set on 2018 or 2019 ??

Thanks

What should be the minimum system requirements of an Android tablet to run Vuforia smoothly. I was currently looking for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 or newly launched Tab A 8.4" tablet. Thanks.

Hi,

We generally support ARCore supported devices, including tablets. However I would recommend to go over our recommended devices under:

https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/platform-support/vuforia-engine-recommended-devices.html.

Minimum requirements for Android are:

  • Quad Core CPU
  • Memory: 1-2GB RAM (dependent on model size)
  • Android Version: 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer
  • IMU w/ Gyroscope Sensors
  • Selective Image Stabilization

Thank you.

Hello Alessandro,

I'm using vuforia to create an augmented space for an art exhibition.

And I would like to leave 2 tablets at the gallery space, do you think these would do the job?

Or is there any cheaper options that I should be aware of?

I'm looking forward hearing back from you!

Best,

A

Hi, both Samsung Galaxy Mini and ProTab 25 XXL support Android with at least 2.2 (actually ProTab 25 XXL should support Android 4.0 ICS at least), so I don;t see any issue with those devices.

If you cannot build/run an App from Eclipse, this is probably a problem with building the project correctly in Eclipse; we have detailed instructions on how to build a Vuforia sample App here::

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/dev-guide/step-3-compiling-running-vuforia-sample-app

Cocnerning your question on tablet performance, the tablet you mention (from the specs that I found) seems to have all necessary features to run Vuforia apps without problems.
