Toast is not showing second time scan the target

strappbs,

the article you refer provides a very simple example of a possible way to show a Toast UI message the first time the trackable is detected; this is meant to give you a basic idea of how things can be wired together using the Vuforia API to achieve a common operation such as displaying a Popup message, but it is not meant to provide a "ready-to-use" piece of code that covers all possible scenarios of a real application. For that, you need to use your programming skills and implement the specific logic that fits your goals.... in the end, this is about programming, not about Vuforia.

For example, just to answer your question, you can solve your case by just using some code to reset the lastTrackableId to -1, when there are no trackables:

if (state.getNumTrackableResults() == 0)

lastTrackableId = -1;

Also, I have noticed that you keep posting a lot of these basic / general programming type of questions in the Vuforia forum (e.g. how to combine various iOS UIViews and other threads you posted recently). I wonder if this is the right Forum to address those topics;  perhaps you may want to consider better options such as posting n other Forums about Android and iOS general programming in the future.
