It is definitely possible. The augmentation in native Android in our sample project is done with OpenGL so you'll need to write some code that responds to touch events and modifies the OpenGL rendering. Google has an article about getting started with this available here: https://developer.android.com/training/graphics/opengl/touch.html

The augmentation gets rendered in the ImageTargetRenderer class if you are referencing or using our Core Samples to get started.
