Tracking multiple targets

January 27, 2014 - 4:29am #1

Hi all.

I have been playing around with the samples and I am now trying to activate the simultaneous target tracking capabilities.

I have read the article that explains this but, from what I understand, the article explains how to do it for the native C++ android app, not for the normal Java one.

My question is how do I activate this function in the normal Java sample app?

Thanks!

Make sure to add the import statement for HINT:

import com.qualcomm.vuforia.HINT;

Hey there.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have added this line at the end of the startAR method and I now have HINT as undefined.

I am sorry for these dumb questions but I don't fully understand all of it yet :D

Hi,

in Java, you can use this line:

Vuforia.setHint(HINT.HINT_MAX_SIMULTANEOUS_IMAGE_TARGETS,  2);

You can put it in your code after AR initialization; for instance, you could add that line at the end of the startAR() method in SampleApplicationsession.java
