UDT - can't see the RefFreeFrame part

May 10, 2014 - 3:37pm #1

Hi,

I am quite new to vuforia and started to develop my app which is based on the user defined targets section.

My issue is that after opening and running the sample app, I don't see the viewfinder and the overlaying pictures - like in the sample demonstration video - in the UDT demo. The sample app runs and there are no problems with the image tracking, only this part is missing.

The Vuforia sdk is the latest, 2.8.8 and I am developing from Eclipse Kepler, testing on Samsung Galaxy S3, Android KitKat. If anyone could help me that would be a life-saver..:)
Thank you in advance.

András

Hey,

Can you help me out with this issue at here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/36734583/why-the-texture-in-userdefinedtargets-in-vuforia-sample-app-is-black-for-semi-tr

I am trying to work on it since days and not able to fix it. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my late answer. The video is here:

https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/sample-apps/user-defined-target-sample-app

But I changed my mind about it and made a simple app that can capture a photo with an installed camera app, and after the user added the metadata, he can upload the image in the cloud database provided by vuforia. It was simpler than experimenting with the UDT module, and that was my original idea:)

What is the link to the video demo you are referring to? Perhaps the video showcases an older version of the UDT sample app.
