October 23, 2017 - 4:00am #1

Hello Vuforia-Team,

Hi Community,

i started Vuforia on Unity 2017.2+ two weeks ago for a university project. All is going well expect that i do not know what Android SDK Versions Vuforia does support fully. 4.3+, yeah does that mean vuforia (current Unity integrated) supports Andoird 8 and 7 fully? or just sdkv21?

And the official Sites are saying not much

https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Vuforia-Supported-Versions

or are outdated

https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Getting-Started-with-Vuforia-for-Android-Development.html

And is it possible to build for windows 10 with working ar camera?

Thank you for your Help,

Best Regards

Thank you for your answer. Currently testing in UnityPlaymode and building for Android 7 works just fine.

I was just worried to install some non working versions.

Thank you also for the information on Windows 10 UWP (working) and desktop (not working). Thats exactly what i needed to know.

thanks a lot.

best regards,

Unity Android Development, What SDK to use?

Hello a1040179,

Apologies for the outdated docs, but Vuforia 6.5 (the version integrated in Unity 2017.2) does support both Android 7 and 8. Have you run into any issues attempting to deploy to these OS versions?

You can build for Windows 10 on UWP Surface devices, but not on desktops. You can use Unity Playmode with a webcam for testing however.

Thanks,
