Video file not being played online

January 9, 2014 - 4:07am #1

I have already done these steps:

In VideoPlayback.java

mMovieName[0] = "http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v";

mMovieName[1] = "http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v";

In VideoPlaybackHelper.java

mMediaPlayer.setDataSource("http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v");

In VideoPlaybackRenderer.java

mMediaPlayer.setDataSource("http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v");

When I run my app, I get the busy icon on the image.

LogCat:

01-09 17:21:06.130: W/MediaPlayer(16508): mediaplayer went away with unhandled events

Please help me sort out this issue.

NOTE: I am using cloud storage in my app.

Hi,

     How to add URL as the video source in VideoPlayback sample? I added the link inVideoplayback.java , VideoPlayerHelper.java and FullScreen.java like this,

in videoplayback.java

mMovieName[STONES] = " http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v";

in VideoplayerHelper.java

mMediaPlayer.setDataSource(" http://giftsoninternet.com/android/EngageApp/VuforiaSizzleReel_1.m4v");

and the same thing in FullscreenPlayback as in VideoplayerHelper.java

But I am getting the video played. Am I wrong anywhere? please help me.....

Hi vinoth,

I only change mMediaPlayer.setDataSource("http://***********") in VideoPlayerHelper.java  and mMovieName[stones]="********.**".

Any advice is welcome, thanks a lot.

Note that some video URLs may not work; in particular,  the Web Server you are connecting to must conforms to the http Live Streaming protocol;

To test this functionality, you can use this sample video:

Also note that there may be certain limitations depending on the specific OS (Android/iOS) and OS version you are using; please check this link:
