Hi, yes it is possible to run the sample on anything from Froyo (2.2) and above, so Gingerbread (2.3) too.

However, the videos will only be playable in fullscreen mode on anything below 4.0 (ICS);  so, if you want to run the sample and have videos on texture (i.e. the videos are rendered on a texture attached to the trackable in 3D space), you will need to have at least 4.0 (on Gingerbread it will only work fullscreen).
