Vuforia Image Class vs. Android Image Class

Can someone explain the difference between the com.qualcomm.vuforia.Image class and the android,media.Image class ?

We're trying to modify the sample app so that when a button is pressed, the camera image + 3d model would be captured into an image and saved on SD.

We followed this, and we have each frame saved to the bytebuffer.
