Vuforia SDK on Samsung Galaxy S2

March 16, 2012 - 3:51am #1

Hi everyone,

I'm new to development with the Vuforia SDK.
Today I've installed the SDK, everything works fine on the two projects I've tested so far (ImageTargets and MultiTargets), except on one device.
I've tested the samples with some Android devices (GNexus, HTC Desire, Samsung Ace and Samsung Galaxy S2, this one running Android 2.3.6).
I've a problem with the SGS2 though. I move away the marker sheet from the camera viewport, and of course the 3d object disappears, but as soon as I place the marker on screen, just before the object should be drawn on screen, the camera freezes (without showing the 3d object). And I have to turn off the app and restart it again. No useful log information on LogCat.
This behaviour happens only on the SGS2. Has anybody encountered the same issue? Might be an issue related to the overlay view on the camera?
Thansk in advance!

Adolfo

Could you let us know the precise model number for this device? You can find that in the Settings > About Phone menu.

Thanks,

Thanks for the report, we'll look into this ASAP.

Is the SGS2 connected to the internet? You may want to try uninstalling the app and reinstalling/running in airplane mode. That will force the app to run with default device settings.
