What happend to Moto Z2 Force support?

I purchased the Motorola Moto Z2 Force SPECIFICALLY because it was listed in the Vuforia supported list for Fusion. But it does not work. It fails to initialize the tracker. In fact, if I run the example project for ground plane, I get the "Unsupported Device" page. Tell me this is an intermittent error. Or have you actually stopped supporting a phone you used to support?

I paid $500 for my license so I hope someone from Vuforia actually responds to this. Let me know if this is a release error of if my phone is truly a brick with fusion and ground plane.
