Working with the emulator

Hello, I am new to Android development and I find out that the Android emulator dont support external camera by defualt, so I wish to know if there is a way to work with the emulator and external camera? And what about the connection to the internet that the sample applications requeired? There is a problem with running the samples on the emulator? Thanks, Guy
