We found an issue with our app that we were able to reproduce using VisualSearch on Android.
It seems that if you "pause" the app while it is in the process of making a target request, then the app will have trouble resuming. User-facing symptom is a black screen upon relaunch of the app.
The logcat output for the resume will typically look something like:
10-30 14:47:08.145: W/ActivityManager(257): Launch timeout has expired, giving up wake lock!
10-30 14:47:08.242: W/ActivityManager(257): Activity idle timeout for ActivityRecord{41b84608 com.qualcomm.QCARSamples.VisualSearch/.VisualSearch}
10-30 14:47:08.356: W/ActivityManager(257): Activity pause timeout for ActivityRecord{41b84608 com.qualcomm.QCARSamples.VisualSearch/.VisualSearch}
Reproduced with Google/Samsung Nexus S 4G, running Android 4.1.1, and HTC One V running Android 4.0.3, Vuforia 2.0.18
Android - cannot resume if paused when "requesting"
Hi, thanks for the note, I will check this.
Android - cannot resume if paused when "requesting"
Hi, it seems the problem you encountered is occurring on an old version of the beta SDK;
in a more recent beta release, this issue should have been fixed.
Could you update and test again ?
