Hello,
The get method in /targets/{target_id} only returns
“target_record”:{
“target_id”:”550e8400e29b41d4a716446655440000”,
“active_flag”:true,
“name”:”tarmac”,
“width”:100.0,
“tracking_rating”:4,
“reco_rating”:4
}
how can we get the metatdata back via service api?
is the metadata unique? i.e. can I have multi targets with the same metadata? for example, different pose for the same t-shirt?
BTW, seems no "reply button" in this forum. I cannot reply to any thread in this section.
Thanks.
Lendy

I would be interested in know the answer to this one as well as we rely on the metadata.

A target's metadata can be retrieved by VWS clients, using the QCAR::TargetSearchResult from the QCAR::TargetFinder but there's no provision for obtaining this result using the server-side developer API.

Thanks for answering my post.
But it would be very helpful if we can retrieve the metadata to verify the uploaded data. Using client to scan and verify the metadata will be a big pain for large volume tagets, like 3500 targets.
Thanks.

I'll pass along your request.

In this subject I would like to add my vote for a way to retrieve the metadata using the server-API.
Also, I'm wondering how large the metadata could be?
Thanks

According to the 1.0.4 docs, the metadata is limited to 150Kbytes (200Kbytes encoded as Base64).

Indeed, I confirm the numbers indicated by Duane are still valid (limit of 150KB (200KB on base64))

I just wanted to mention that the ability to change / retrieve the metadata ( and to a lesser extent, the target image itself) is very useful feature.
Alternatively, an api for the client web server could be nice as well.
Thanks,
Nathan

What do you mean by 'an API for the client web server'? - as in a server component that exposes an API?
