Since we want to deploy our app to iPads we copied the VisualSearch unity package (vuforia-visualsearch-android-ios-2-0-18.unitypackage) to a Macbook Pro Retina 15" and tried to play it. The result was a crash of Unity.
The possibility of debugging with the Macbook's webcam is very appealing and I would like to know if there are any obvious reasons why it shouldn't work.
- We've added a new entry to the WebcamProfiles/profiles.xml file with the correct resolution for the macbook's webcam.
- Right before Unity crashes (Unity 3.5.6f4) we can see that the webcam activates and manages to scan at least one frame.
- While debugging the code, if we do not ever focus on the Preview Window and just keep stepping in the code - nothing happens (No crash, no activity)
I've tried to play the Scene on a Windows7 PC with a Microsoft Lifecam HD-5000 and I've got the same crash.
I've saved the crash report files and I'm willing to transfer them by a medium chosen and approved by you as soon as instructed (in case that might help).
Thanks in advance for any help you might offer,
