API for static image analysis

With the recent acquisition of kooaba, it doesn't look like there is a resource for a simple static image analysis over a rest api. Is this something that will be offered in the future for people who want to use vuforia cloud recognition for applications that only require image recognition without the need for any sdk or added AR bits?
