I understand it is an image recognition service only, that is why I am using it. But the quality of recognition is getting quite poor when we add a large amount of photos.
Many false positives and I would like to see the reco_rating.
Normally, false positives can be traced to similar images in the Cloud Reco database. We offer an API to check for these:
The duplicate target check VWS API will analyze a cloud database for similar and/or duplicate images. It will return target IDs (up to 16 results) that the cloud recognition service deems as similar enough that they *may* be matched during cloud queries. The list is sorted in order of the internal confidence of similarity. We do not expose the confidence values as they are meaningless outside of our algorithm.
The duplicate analysis will occur on an entire image's content, not just the subject matter. For example, if an image of a soda bottle appearing in front of a busy background is submitted for duplicate check, it may not match a similar image of the same bottle in front of a plain background. This is because elements from the background are also being analyzed, in addition to the bottle itself.
If I am not wrong I got this response in the API some time ago but now it is not available anymore?
Per our development team, this field was never officially populated. The primary reason is that a rating's value can be ambiguous and may not fit all use cases.
