Sure, we will consider it.

Also, may I invite you to post your request in our Forum wish-list too ?

This will help us keep track of it.

Thanks for the clarification:

the answer in this case is simple: the SDK does not expose the position of the scan points.

Thank you for your reply. Let me restate, for clarity.

I understand that the "scanpoints and scalines are tightly coupled with the CloudRecognition component,; it is not possible to "extract" such functionality from the library to make it work in isolation."

I'm not asking how to draw the animation of the scanpoints or the scanbar, but instead I'm asking if the data associated with the scanpoints (location of image features) is avaialble to us as consumers of the library.

Hi, as I said in my previous message, the scanpoints and scalines are tightly coupled with the CloudRecognition component,; it is not possible to "extract" such functionality from the library to make it work in isolation.

For the rest, if you want to implement a similar feature on your own, you can try that of course, but this would require a solid OpenGL and shaders programming background.

Is there a way to get the scanpoints from the vuforia library? Or, how would you suggest getting them so as to be able to render them myself?

Thanks,

Levi

Hi, I understand that, but

Hi, I understand that, but the current feature in Vuforia only enables the scanline and points when the server communication is running (during the scanning phase); i.e. this visual feature is tightly coupled with the CloudReco scanning, and cannot be used independently of it.

Of course nothing prevents you from rendering the scanline and/or scanpoints by writing your own OpenGL code for that and adding it to the _renderFrame() function in ImageTargets.cpp; in theory this is not extremely difficult to achieve if you are an experienced OpenGL programmer, but otherwise it can be quite involved.

is there any other way for doing that plz know me.

Thanks in advance

Hi, the scan line and the scan points are specific features of CloudReco (see QCAR::TargetFinder class API); these are not available for local databases like the ones used in ImageTargets sample.
