Multiple Target using Cloud Recognition

September 13, 2018 - 11:17pm #1

Why is vuforia not implementing multiple target cloud recognition into its features????   I am developing a unity application that uses vuforia image target detection but the apk size is getting huge and I want to store my image targets on cloud of vuforia......But my application is detecting at least two targets at a time.

I have seen other topics where people have already addressed this issue. Is Vuforia ever going to implement this feature? If yes then till when? If not, I need to find some other similar alternative that can solve my issue, If you know any solution to this please suggest.

Please Help! and Thank You!

Multiple Target using Cloud Recognition

Hello Vuforia Support.

I also have the same problem.

But there are some problems in there.

If we download dataset file and activate the database and we should select image target on Unity inspector to recognize marker image.

and for example, if there are 100+ images in database, we should put all 100 Imagetargets on Unity inspector for multi-target image recognition and specify each image target.

How can we do this?

Hello rhamsini,

Cloud Recognition currently isn't slated to add the ability to track multiple targets simultaneously.

If you are needing to store your Image Targets externally and your app requires tracking multiple targets simultaneously, there is another option. You can store your datasets on your own server, download them to your Unity project using a Unity Asset Bundle, and then load and activate them within Vuforia. At this point they will function as normal device datasets containing your Image Targets.
