Platform retrieving old metadata files

January 14, 2014 - 8:48am #1

Hi,

Is the platform in maintenance right now? I have been uploading new metadata files  for my image targets (which btw is taking like 20 minutes processing) and when I use my app it retrieves yesterday's metadata files. Is this a known bug and if so is it going to be fixed soon? I have a new AR experience that absolutely needs to be working today.

Regards

Have you contacted our service ? I got a message that there is already an engineer looking at your issue at the moment.

There is definitely a problem with my image targets on the cloud database. I have deleted them and tried to create them again from scratch and now it always fails with the message : Image Upload Failed.

So the problem is from your side. Maybe a conflict with the uploaded images. Could you please check if there is a problem with the last image targets I created in this account? And if possible delete these from your database.

Again, this is very urgent and should be up and running today, max an hour from now.

Thank you

Ok, try verify the following things:

- download the metadata from the cloud database, using the Target Manager online, and verify that the content of the downloaded txt file corresponds to what you expect (i.e. to your latest update)

- make sure you are using the client keys (in the App) of the right database, in case you have more than one Cloud Database (in case you were pointing to the wrong DB accidentally)

- uninstall the App from your device and reinstall it

No, it keeps retrieving yesterday's metadata files, long after it's finished processing.

I've tried to clean the cache. I even deleted the target and created it again. It still retrieves the old metadata file to the app.

The new / updated metadata will become available to your App once the processing is over, i.e. when the target status become active (and not processing) again.

So, if a target takes 20 minutes to update, you need to wait those 20 minutes.
