Public target image access?

Hi guys,

Is there a way of allowing users to access their target images?

It seems that after a target image is uploaded, we can't access it again easily via a URL link or something of that nature?

Our application will have a number of images uploaded by users, and we'd like them to then be able to view their library of images in the app.

Am I understanding this correctly that we need to separately host all of those images ourselves as well?

Ah, OK, understood, I wish that wasn't the case since it means we have to also upload images to a separate image store as well for access by our end-users, but appreciate the reply.

You can view Cloud DB targets in the Target Manager, but there's no API that retrieves all the Cloud DB targets and displays them. The Cloud Reco service is taking data from the camera feed and sending it to the server for reco processing and if a match is found, it provides the related target meta-data.

Hi,

Thank you, that partially answers me, but I think my original question wasn't phrased well enough.

The targets will be uploaded by ourselves onto the server using the VWS API (no worries). There won't be any user defined targets.

What I really want to know if there is a way of letting users access the cloud target images?

Let's say we have a library of 200 target images of coffee beans and we want a user to be able to browse and see all of those images (and also perform recognition via their camera, but that's a separate use case).

I can't see a way of just retrieving a target image after it's been uploaded such that we can then let a user view it?

Images that will be used as targets must first be uploaded into the Target Manager. They can be stored in a Cloud DB, or you can download them as a Device DB. The downloaded format is proprietary.
