Question about cloud recognition detection

I have a question about the cloud recognition.  When a user try to scan an image, what is really send to the vuforia cloud recognition servers ? Is it exactly what the camera is filming (like a photo) or only a kind of signature footprint which is compare server-side to all signatures image of our database ? How long is it storing server-side ? Only during the scan or more ? One of our customer ask us but we don't know what answer. I didn't find the information in the documentation.

Hello Alessandro,

Oh yes I understand that the exact type cannot be disclosed. It's completely normal.

But may we at least know if it's the actual picture which is sent to the server of Vuforia ?

I agree it would probably be a bit helpful for Qualcomm to publicly clarify what's actually going on.

This issue *does* come up quite regularly with clients - the question is whether or not the app is uploading the raw picture coming from the camera.
