Hello,
just a quicke question :
Is it theorically possible to use the vws code (or some other code) to work with the device databases instead of the cloud databases ?
What it would offer is something like :
- create a database
- delete a database
- post an image in a database
- ask if the generated dat is available
- download the dat if it is available
I think this is what the VWS offer with cloud database (except for the download part because you don't need to with cloud, right ?), but would it work with modified code on a device database. Of course our final goal being downloading the dat+xml by code, if this is doable with cloud, cloud is fine with us but I don't think it's possible is it ?
Thanks for information
Using VWS (php) for Device Databases
Hi NicoTony,
At present there is no runtime access that will let you modify the device database at runtime.

BUT does it allow (via cloud) ?

Thanks again for answering.
I tried the cloud sample and I already understood that part, just wished there was a workaround because here is what our app should do :
- be able to work offline (with no internet connection available on the device)
Using VWS (php) for Device Databases
It is possible to download a device database and to store it on the device's file system. You can then load the device database to your app at runtime.

Yes that is what we are doing right now.

Hi friends,
Is there any update at that issue ? As NıcoTony told , we really need to access device databases from our system dynamically and add new images not manually.
