Vuforia Cloud Recognition implementation

August 6, 2015 - 3:21am #1

Hi Team,

We have tried Vuforia Cloud Recognition sample and built up a POC android application. Now we have a requirement to upload photos 40K photos to cloud and recognize the details using android application. We have few queries if you can answer us that will be really help in taking the POC forward.

1)      Is there an option to setup our own Cloud Recognition server which should be private?

2)      Is there an option to store and retrieve metadata for each photo from databases?

3)      Is there any performance issues on mobiles for 40K photos?

Please answer me the above questions so that we look forward to implement Vuforia J Thanks.

To answer your questions:

  1. No
  2. Yes
  3. No, Cloud Reco only supports tracking one image at a time and reco processing is performed on the server.

Use the VWS API to upload large quantities of images and metadata to your Cloud DB.
