Hello,
how can I use transparent areas in an image target?
I remember slightly, that there was an recommendation for that in the older guideline for creating target images: e.g. using a black area for that, hence the png have to be in RGB. The alpha channel is not allowed to use.
But I cannot find this statement anymore. Unfortunately, it isn't working very good either.
When I have a black background, my target image is requiring a black background as well, when recognizing it in my app.
Has anyone expecience with transparent areas?Thank you very much!
Image Targets with transparency
Image targets can only be in grayscale or RGB-24 bit format; alpha is not allowed.

make sure the image is cut out and placed on a fully white background. When the image target is created it will only pick up the coloured features as markers. See explained info in link below

I see. But is there a best practice, how to handle undefined areas?
Does vuforia support blackened are areas better than white areas.
