Hello i want to create trackable. The distance is above 4 meters.

What is the minimum size of this trackable with an iPad retina ?

You'll need to do some testing to determine the minimum target size for that device, and that distance will be specific to a given target. Detection distance is influenced by the target design and which features of the target are apparent at various distances.

You say that certain targets are better in near distance. Have you an example of target wich is best at far distance ?

The Stones target that is distributed w/ the ImageTarget sample is a good example of a target that can be effective at longer distances.

You might try increasing the constrast  in your image to enhance the the lighter cracks.
