MultiTarget - child of entire MultiTarget vs individual ChildTargets

October 14, 2019 - 11:36am #1

Hi,

Imagine I am trying to create a MultiTarget with ChildTargets A, B, C, and D. Each ChildTarget has a corresponding object 1, 2, 3, and 4. Does it make a difference whether I make 1, 2, 3, and 4 children of the overall MultiTarget vs. making 1 child of A, 2 child of B, and so forth? Using my computer's webcam, it seems that they all appear/disappear/move together regardless of which method I try. The webcam isn't good enough to detect whether there is a difference when one of A, B, C, or D is occluded.

Thanks!

MultiTarget - child of entire MultiTarget vs individual ChildTargets

Hi,

In the core sample apps we demo the multi target feature. In this example we have set all the ImageTargets as childs. It really depends on what you want to achieve.

If you want to "play" with occlusion my advice would be to download the Rendering Sample app in which we demo it. Also in this approach we have set the targets as childs of an object.

Thank you.
