Playmode uploading image targets

Hi. 

Is there a way to create image targets in playmode?

I try to explain in other words on the example of  user story:

 1) User start application with pre-loaded 3d models

 2) User take a photo that is uploaded to the database (or other your service), and automatically converted to image target that is returned to the application

 3) User see AR with pre-loaded 3d models around the object whose picture was just taken

Is there a way to make it with Vuforia?
